Happy halloween!!!

I hope you are all enjoying trick or treating!

Last year, I was unable to post my Halloween yarnbombs, so I've posted them this year and I've made a new halloween treat for this year too!

52 The Fluffle Bug - 4th October 2013

Hey shadows,

It's been an awful long time since I last posted!

Sorry about that, you see, it's not been my fault!

I've been unable to create any yarn bombs as all my wool keeps going missing! 

Finally, I found out why........... The Fluffle Bug!

Fluffle Bugs are little creatures that hide in the shadows, with round orange eyes that glow brighter than the sun with a fiery glow!

They love all things creative, and sparkly and cute! They are mischievous wee creatures and like to keep things for themselves as collectables!

Their lairs are full of odd buttons, balls of yarn, sequins, old pennies, missing earrings, ribbons, lollipop sticks.........you get the idea!

You can imagine my surprise when I found one nestled away in my stash of wool! the poor wee thing got such a fright that it ran into the shadows and scurried all the way home to its magnificent topiary palace!

Thankfully, I managed to get a few pictures! 

Who knows? Maybe we will see more Fluffle Bugs around our homes? 

Anyway, now that my stash has been returned and I've checked everything is there I'm off to focus on my very exciting Halloween projects and also to make a start on The Yarnvent Calendar 2013!

51 Fairy Tale Collection: Snow White Apple and Golden Egg - 19th February 2013

Hey shadows,

As some of you may know, I am a wee tiny bit obsessed with fairy tales!

So, for my new project, I am going to spend the next year or so making fairy tale inspired yarnbombs!

I will call this project: The Fairy Tale Collection.

Sometimes they will be small, sometimes they will be big, sometimes they may be a group of items and sometimes just a wee baby yarnbomb on its own!

I will continue with other regular projects throughout the year also!

I hope you all enjoy the first part of the collection: Snow Whites forbidden apple and the Golden Gooses golden egg!

I'm rather proud of my wee apple and the golden egg allowed me to try using new yarn!

49 The Yarnvent Calendar 2012! - 1st to 24th December 2012

Hey Guys!

Sorry it's been sooo long but I have been a busy wee Shadow in my non knitting life and I have also been focusing on knitting away for the second Yarnvent Calendar!!! I can't beleive it's finally here!



This year, I will be doing something a little bit different for The Yarnvent Calendar! 2012 will be the year of the wreath!

 

After the success of my 3 wreath yarnbombs for the first Yarnvent Calendar, I have had many requests asking for one so that people can put them up this year! So, I have decided to make 24 wreath's this year!

48 Snaily - 24th September 2012

Hey guys!

Sorry it's been a while! I'm busy working on lots of projects at the moment- most importantly : The Yarnvent Calendar 2012!

I decided to make a wee something to put out this month. I started knitting with my new neon wool (which is awesome) and I wasn't sure what to create. Half way through I decided perhaps a pole cover? Then a caterpillar? Finally an idea hit me- a snail! Then the unexpected happened. I fell in love with it. Lesson learned- don't give a yarnbomb cute little eyes.

So here he is in all his glory! I present "Snaily". I hope you all love him as much as I do and I promise there will be a real yarnbomb soon for Halloween.

47 Festival Pom Pom Bunting - 16th August 2012

Hey Guys,

Sorry it's been a while.

I've got a very busy few months ahead of me in my 'real life'.

I'll try my best to do a wee yarnbomb here or there over the next few months but it'll only be a few small things.

I will still of course be running the second Yarnvent Caednar again! I cannot wait! I've got loads of ideas that I can't wait to share with you all.

Any way, as some of you may know, it is Festival time in Edinburgh! I decided to make some pom pom bunting to put on a bench in Princes Street Gardens to brighten the place up a little bit! I used bright pink, yellow and neon orange to capture the colourful nature of the festival!

I hope you all like it!
